Santa Barbara County Teacher of the Year, Frank Koroshec

Our guest for this two-part interview is Frank Koroshec, the 2021 Santa Barbara County Teacher of the Year. His enthusiasm is contagious!

A real-life rock star, Mr. Koroshec is currently an 11th and 12th grade English instructor at San Marcos High School. He founded the San Marcos Writing Center, which hosts an annual poetry slam and writing contest. He also founded the Resource Family Assistance Student Support Team (RFAST) to provide relief and community for foster families throughout Santa Barbara County. As well as being the 2021 Santa Barbara County Teacher of the Year, he is a California Teacher of the Year finalist.
